We are looking for a Project Leader for the Bessarabia Revision lists. There are about 50,000-100,000 records more to work with. I am leaving this project. June 2024 is going to be the last upload unless we find a new Project Leader.

Jewish Cemeteries. Updates: Completed photographing and indexing of Klishkivtsi New Jewish cemetery. 261 burial records and 257 grave images were sent to JOWBR at JewishGen. The records will be available in June of this year, but you can see now at Bessarabia website the Cemetery report with maps, some photos, and also the Unknown Graves at the cemetery (86). Bessarabia Court Records. We are planning to start a new project with archival information from Courts in Bessarabia in 19th and 20th centuries. There are different kinds of cases of criminal and civil law.
We need a Project Leader for this new work with Russian skills and several translators.

Hi everybody,
I'm happy to announce that we have upgraded the Bessarabia SIG website to support mobile navigation.
The new version will display the old desktop design when you come from a PC computer and will show a new mobile adapted design when you browse from your smartphone or tablet.

Vital Records, plan to upload to JewishGen in December of 2023. We are working with Birth records from Kishinev, Soroki, Beltsy, Valea-lui-Vlad, Aleksandreny; Marriage records from Kishinev, Beltsy, Valea-lui-Vlad, Aleksandreny; Death records from Kishinev. See the progress.
Cemetery Projects Completed photographing and indexing of Phase 8 of Beltsy Jewish Cemetery and sent to JOWBR 331 burial records with 325 images. See information at the Beltsy Jewish Cemetery Report at Bessarabia SIG website at Beltsy Jewish Cemetery Report.
We have now 5,856 burial records for Beltsy Jewish Cemetery, and more will come in the next phase.
New acquisition in summer of 2023. We will start a new project - Jews lived in different gubernias of Russian Empire, and registered in Bessarabia. We received new records for Jews reside in Podolia, Kherson, Kiev, Grodno, Vilno gubernias in different towns, shtetlekh, but all registered in Bessarabia. We need a Project Leader for this new work with handwritten Russian skills and probably several translators. there are total of about 1,000 images for it.
