Bessarabian Databases. December of 2020:
Below is a list of updates sent to JewishGen. Soon they will be available to all JewishGen community. Thank you very much to all volunteers who worked on these projects.
Vital Records. Bendery and 21 shteitle in uezd - 3012 birth records for some years from 1874 to 1899.

Business Directory, 1897. Includes 1423 records from all Bessarabia. Project Leader Jeff Wexler. Translators: Genny Imas, Alan Levine, Yuliana Murray, Jane Rollins, Fanny Rozenblat, Tsvika Rozenblat, and Bena Shklyanoy.
All Kishinev, Business, 1916. Includes 608 records of business, small and large for Kishinev. Project Leader and translator Yuriy Daylis.

Our Bessarabia group is preparing a load of records to JewishGen. It will include following:

Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:
Completed photographing and indexing of Sector 1 of Kishinev Jewish Cemetery and sent to JOWBR 3,266 burial records with 2,910 images. See information at the Kishinev Jewish Cemetery Report at Bessarabia SIG website at Kishinev Jewish Cemetery Report. We have now total of 8,851 burial records with 7,889 images for Kishinev Jewish Cemetery, and more will come.

Genealogical Conferences. Addition
40th IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy, Virtual, 10-13 August, 2020.

One session was Bessarabia group meeting, talking about what we did this year, since summer of 2019 and our plans for next years.
