Chiftele

1-2 lbs ground beef (low in fat)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 egg, 1 wet and drained slice of white
bread
salt and pepper to taste
garlic paste, or powder ( if desired, to taste)
parsley shake.
Mix all the ingredients and knead well until thoroughly dispersed. Form a ball about 1.5 to 2 inches in size and flatten to oval shape, repeat with the rest of the meat. May be stored in the
refrigerator for later use, or begin preparing by coating with bread crumbs (Italian style crumbs is optional, but may not be kosher).
Fry in skillet with vegetable oil medium heat until browned.
