March 1905) The synagogue was destroyed by German air raid on 27
December 1940 and the congregation moved temporarily to 117 Lewisham
Way, London S.E.14. It returned to original site in 1946, first
to a temporary hut and then to new purpose-built synagogue in 1956
Previously (from 1889 to 1905) in Lausanne Road, Peckham,
London SE15 and prior to then in
various rooms (see below) |
