Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation (in early part of the 20th century also known as the "Englisher shul")

Address:

4 Salisbury Road, Newington, Edinburgh EH16 5AB (built & consecrated 1932, renovated in 1980 and 2003).

The synagogue, including gatepiers and boundary walls, is a Scottish Category B Listed Building (number LB43172), designated on 29 March 1996. View description on Historic Environment Scotland website.

Former Addresses:

1816 to 1825 - lane off Nicholson Street (or possibly only until 1817)

1825 (or 1817) to 1867 - Richmond Court, off Richmond Street (from 1833 to 1840, there was also a rival Richmond Court congregation.

1867 to 1896 - Ross House, Park Place

1896 to 1932 - Graham Street (consecrated 1898)
