Contents of Volume Seven (2003)
The Kielce-Radom Special Interest Group's journal, The
Kielce-Radom SIG Journal, began publication in 1997.
With more than 200 pages of genealogical material annually, it is
one of the most informative, instructional and useful publications
available to Jewish genealogists, especially to those researching
these two southern gubernias of the Kingdom of Poland.
Volume VII, Number 1:

(BŻIH), the Bulletin of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.

Translations from Sefer HaZikaron LeYehudi Yendzhyev
(Tel Aviv, 1965). Table of Contents translated from the Hebrew
and Yiddish by Judy Montel. The Necrology, transliterated from
Hebrew by Warren Blatt, contains the names of over 2,000
Holocaust victims, residents of Yendjev.

An article by Betty Provizer Starkman about her ancestral shtetl
of Iłża ("Drilge"), and the 2002 IAJGS Conference in Toronto.
- Towns in Kielce and Radom Gubernias, listing their
Yiddish names, and which branches of the Polish State Archives
hold their Jewish vital records. A table compiled by Warren
Blatt and Perets Mett.
- JRI-Poland — Radom and Starachowice Archives Project,
by Jeffrey Geizhals. The Archive Coordinator describes this project
to index all non-microfilmed Jewish vital records in the Polish State
Archives branches in Radom and Starachowice. Includes records
inventories for 28 towns.
- JRI-Poland — Sandomierz Archives Project,
by Suzanne Waxman. The Archive Coordinator describes this project
to index all non-microfilmed Jewish vital records in the Polish State
Archives branches in Sandomierz — for the towns of Bogoria,
Klimontów, Koprzywnica, Kurozwęki, Opatów, Osiek, Ożarów,
Połaniec, Sandomierz, Staszów, Tarłów and Zawichost.
Includes records inventories.

- Complete extracts of all Jewish marriages in the city of
Włoszczowa, 1858 to 1884, transcribed from the Polish and
Russian-language civil vital records, by Dolores Lee Ring.
The town of "Vlotshev" was the powiat (district) seat of
Włoszczowa district of Kielce gubernia. For each of
these over 600 marriages, our published data contains:
Year and document number, surname, given name, age, father's name,
mother's name (including maiden name), previous marital status,
and place of birth/residence for both bride and groom.
The Wloszczowa marriages include marriage partners from many other
area towns, notably Końskie, Kurzelów, Przedbórz, Secemin,
Szczekociny, and some towns in neighboring Piotrków gubernia,
such as Koniecpol and Przyrów.
- Complete extracts of all Jewish marriages and deaths in the
city of Opoczno, 1848 to 1851, transcribed from the Polish by
Debra J. Kay. The Opoczno Jewish vital records also include
registrations for the towns of Drzewica, Gielnów,
Odrzywół, as well as many surrounding villages.

- The Castle on the Hill - In Memory - Iłża, by Betty
Provizer Starkman. The story of the author's recent trip to the
town of Iłża, her ancestral shtetl, the district town
(the county seat) of Iłża powiat in eastern Radom gubernia.
- Complete extracts of all Jewish marriages in the town of Iłża,
1866 to 1877, extracted by David Price. This is a continuation
of our series of extracts from the Jewish civil records of this town,
known as "Drildz" in Yiddish. The extracted data includes the
year and record number, surname, given names and ages of the marriage
partners, father's name and patronymic, mother's name and patronymic,
and town or village of origin.
The Iłża Jewish vital records also include registrations for the
towns of Wierzbnik, Wąchock, and Starachowice,
as well as many surrounding villages.

Jewish cemetery in the town of Staszów ("Stashev"), his ancestral shtetl,
and incorporate them into a memorial wall at the cemetery site.

1826 to 1877, extracted from the Polish and Russian by David Price.
This is a complete set of all the microfilmed Jewish marriages as recorded
in the town. The extracted data includes the year and record number,
surname, given names and ages of the marriage partners, father's name and
patronymic, mother's name and patronymic, and town or village of origin.
The records also include marriage partners from many other area towns,
such as Ciepielów, Gniewoszów, Granica, Kazanów, Kozienice, Lipsko,
Radom and Szydłowiec.

Radoszyce, 1826-1850, extracted by Dolores Ring.
This is a continuation of our series of extracts from Radoszyce.
The extracted data includes the year and record number, the surname and
given name, the name, patronymic and age of father, the name, patronymic
and age of mother, and the town of residence.
Additional information the maiden surnames of the mothers has been derived
by the author from an analysis of other records from Radoszyce as well as
from the records of other towns.
- Complete extracts of all Jewish births, marriages, and deaths for the
village of Ogrodzieniec, 1808-1825, extracted by Robert Heyman.
The village of Ogrodzieneic had a small Jewish community, and it is
believed that records after 1826 were recorded in the town of Pilica.
These records were extracted from the Roman Catholic civil vital records
for these years. The extracted data from the birth records includes
the year and record number, surname, given name, father's name and age,
and mother's name and age. The extracted data from the marriage
records includes the year and record number, surname, given name, age,
father's name, mother's name, and notes which sometimes include other
relatives and town of origin for both marriage partners.
The extracted data from the death records includes the year and record
