The Second Action

Memorial to Volozhin Jews

The Memorial to Volozhin Jews was erected on the Volozhin Graveyard hill in September 2000; The Volozhiners Organization in Israel “Irgun Yotsey Volozhin” accomplished this. The memorial overlooks the ancient ruined cemetery, the six common mass graves and the May 10^th 1942 slaughter site (the second action), where the Germans and their accomplices executed 2000 Volozhin Jews. The text in Hebrew, Russian & English:

“Memory to thousands of Volozhin Jews murdered by the Fascists inside the town borders in the Years 1941-1943. Their remnants are buried here in six mass graves. Peace to their soul”.
