For the enlightened [illuminated] and dear memory of our Father, Husband and Zaida Menachem-Mendel B”R Yisroel Yosselowitz who surrendered his hallowed soul on the Holy Shabbat, Friday night, while performing the Kiddush, 6th Candle Channukah 1948. He observed Torah and Mizvot. He kept Torah laws and was a lovable and friendly person. He took great interest in everything and in the needs of the community. In his home shtetl of Abel, he was a gabbai [a Shul official] in the Chassidic Shul, and also here in Johannesburg he was a committee member of the Chassidic Minyan [Congregation]. He was also an important and capable worker and member of the Rakishok Society.
