The Hashomer Hatzair Organization
At the beginning of the '20s when, under the influence of the Balfour Declaration, the Zionist movement in Ciechanow was strengthened, a Hashomeir Hatzair group, as well as other groups, was formed. It carried the name:
Gdud Hashomeir Hatzair Yehuda HaMaccabi. The group later enlisted in the Hashomeir Hatzair Party in Poland.

The attraction and outer appeal of the movement, the impressive aims and desires to raise a healthy Jewish generation that was filled with the lofty goal of redemption in the Land, drew a great number of Ciechanow girls and boys to the Hashomeir Hatzair Kvutzot.
In the Izba, the place of the Hashomeir Hatzair in Ciechanow, there was great youthful enthusiasm: Kvutzot Kfarim, Tzofim and Bogrim (as different age groups were called), a colorful picture of flags and pennants, ties on uniforms, a rich program of activities that expressed itself in sport, games, song and dance.
