Jewish Year Books in the 1950's refer to the
congregation as having been founded in 1890. However, the name Voice of
Jacob does not appear in the Jewish Year Books until the 1920's (it is
listed in the 1930's edition) and presumably, the congregation was
listed under another name until then. |
