Previously 20 Booth Street, London E1. (until at least 1905)

(Location: The eastern 500 feet of Princelet Street (namely, that part east of Brick Lane), which included this synagogue, was previously known as Booth Street, and runs parallel with Heneage Street to the South.

Princelet Street itself (previously known as Princes Street), in London's East End, was originally only some 300 feet long, lying solely to the west of Brick Lane. )

The locality is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, created on 1 April 1965, within the administrative area of Greater London.

Previously, Princelet Street / Booth Street were in the Metropolitan Borough of Stepney (established 1900) in the County of London (established 1889), both of which entities were abolished in 1965.

Although most of Booth Street was within the civil parish of Spitalfields, the most easterly 50 feet, which probably number 32, was in the civil parish of Mile End New Town. Both of these civil parishes were abolished in 1921, being absorbed into the civil parish of Whitechapel, which itself was abolished in 1927 to be absorbed into Stepney Borough parish (until that parish's abolition in 1965).
