(The congregation is considered part of the "North Manchester" Jewish community.)

1988^(vi) - a breakaway from the Sha'arei Shalom, North Manchester Reform Congregation, following a dispute over rabbinical style.

Reform tradition. The congregation describes itself as "a small independent Progressive congregation with traditional values and a family friendly atmosphere.....and men and women sit together."^(vii)
