Formation:

The congregation was formed in 1809, as a breakaway from the Posterngate Synagogue, led by Joseph Lyons, as a result of disagreements with the officials of that congregation.⁽ⁱⁱⁱ⁾

Closure:

The synagogue was in use until 1826, when the congregation reunited with the Posterngate Synagogue to form the Hull Old Hebrew Congregation at Robinson Row.^(iv)
