Search Criteria

• Place Name:
  Search can be by exact name, a contained string or a Daitch-Mokotov Soundex. DM Soundex is only applied when the search string is 4 or more characters, otherwise "contains search" is performed.
  Place is optional but if informed, should have at least 3 characters. If less than 3 characters, it will be considered a blank search.
• Family Name:
  The search string will be applied to Family Name and Married Name fields.
  Search can be by exact name, a contained string, Soundex or a Daitch-Mokotov Soundex. Soundex and DM Soundex are only applied when the search string is 4 or more characters, otherwise "contains search" is performed.
  Family Name is optional but if informed, should have at least 3 characters. If less than 3 characters, it will be considered a blank search.
• Given Name and Patronymic:
  Search can be by exact name or a contained string.
  Both fields are optional.

Search Results

• Blank Searches: At least Place name or Family name have to be informed and contain more than 3 characters. In any other case, the search is considered blank and limited to 500 results.
• Sortable columns: By clicking on a column header you can sort the table by that column
• Geographic Area: By clicking on the name of the resulting geographic area (province, district, town) you'll be redirected to the corresponding province/district/area page.
• See record details (magnifying glass): By clicking this option you'll be redirected to the record page where more information on the person will be displayed
