Josef Fischer (born in Hungary in 1871, died 1949 in Denmark). He is the nestor of Jewish genealogy in Denmark. For the greater part of his life he diligently researched and published a great number of books on Danish Jewish history and genealogies - the first in 1904, the last post mortem in 1953. His works were of a very high standard and they set an example to be followed. |
