Local Government District:

Although the actual boundary between the districts of Stamford Hill and South Tottenham has became blurred in recent years, the northern section of Castlewood Road (which includes the synagogue) to the north of Craven Park Road (with an N15 postal district) would appear to be in South Tottenham in the London Borough of Haringey, an Inner London Borough created on 1 April 1965, within the administrative area of Greater London.

(Whereas the district south of Craven Park Road (with an N16 postal district), would appear to be in Stamford Hill.  is in the London Borough of Hackney.)

The North London district of Stamford Hill extending into Upper Clapton, parts of Tottenham, Stoke Newington and some other adjoining areas, include the largest concentration of Haredi Jews in Europe, who generally tend to identify as being part of a greater Stamford Hill area.)

  • (ii) Named as the Rabbi of the Congregation in Jewish Year Books from 1993 (or possibly 1992) until 2005.

  • (iii) Named as the Rabbi of the Congregation in Jewish Year Books from 2006 until 2010. Rabbi B.L. Rabinowitz was later shown as rabbi of Beth Hamedrash Biala (Birkas Zvi Biala) from 2011.
