Harley Grove, Bow, is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets,
created on 1 April 1965, within the administrative area of Greater London.
Previously, Harley Grove was in the Metropolitan Borough of
Poplar, although very close to the eastern boundary of the former
metropolitan borough of Stepney. Both metropolitan boroughs were
established in 1900 in the County of London (which was established in
1889). All these entities were abolished in 1965. |
