II on 20.11.1805 During the years 1808-1827 Isak Klein's family lived there: his wife Babeta (Barbora), daughters Rosalie, born in 1816, Mimy, born in 1822, and his son Jonas born in 1824. Bernard, son of Isak Klein (Isak's father was David from Klenova), married Barbora, daughter of Loebl from Hradek, in 1830. David, son of Isak Klein, was born in 1836. On December 8, 1849 Barbora, wife of Isak Klein, died of typhus. Josef Klein, a trader in Janovice, son of Isak and Barbora née Neuman, born in 1824, married Katerina Kann, born in 1833, daughter of Juda from Susice, a house-to-house salesman, and Anna, daughter of Loebl Bloch from Dlouha Ves. On May 21, 1854 the general attorney in Klatovy decided to have the police take away the bad scales of Josef Klein, a shopkeeper (OA 1854). House no. III in Janovice Volf David from Mochtin, son of Abraham, lived there with his son JakubVolf. He acquired it through purchase from Loebl Markus. On April 27, 1787, a marriage allowance for Abraham, the 22 year-old son of Volf David, and Terindl, daughter of Volf Abraham was recorded. The family of Abraham Goldschmidt also lived in the house, with sons Aron, David, Bernard and Josef and daughters, Elizabeta, born 1807 and Anna, born 1814. Loebl Goldschmidt and his wife, Eva can also be found in the records. In 1823 their daughter Frantishka was born and Volf was born in 1824. In 1823 Jonas was born as an illegitimate son of Rebeka Goldschmidt. Abraham Goldschmidt died on 14.2.1841 at the age of 81. On 24.3.1844 Terezie Goldschmidt, the widow of Jakub, from Janovice died here. House no. IV in Janovice [shown below] On October 26, 1782 Hitzigin, the widow of Salomon Pollak, was recorded with her sons, Izak, Jachym, and Salomon Jachym. Volf Jachym was recorded as having used an old cottage for stables without the permission of the authorities. In 1810 Rosalie Luft, daughter of Markus Luft and Ester, was born there. In 1819 Salomon, son of Moyses Pollak and Rosalie Stein (correctly Ohrenstein) from Vodnany, was born there. In house no. IV Moyses had 5 children: Rosalie, born 18.7.1827, Salomon, born 27.2.1819, Simon born 19.7.1821, Isak, born 1833 (died in 1840) and Lazar, born 1830 (died in 1871). Simon (born 1821) married Judita, daughter of Isak Steiner from Janovice. At age 37 he married his second wife, Eleonora Klauber. Salamon was a feather salesman. His wife was Rosalie, daughter of Jachym Steiner, a salesman in Janovice. Their marriage was recorded on 7.11.1849 - Salamon was 30 and Rosalie was 25. Their children were: Heinrich Jachym born 1851, Katerina, born 28.9.1855, Julie born 9.6.1859 (died 1861) and Sara born 6.5.1862. Moses's son Lazar, a soldier, married Regina (born 3.12.1837) daughter of Jachym Steiner from Janovice. On March 23, 1840 Isak Pollak, son of Moises and Rosalie born Ohrenstein, died at the age of 7. Isak Pollak (1748 -1832) married Rosel - or Rosalie Schwarzkopf from Susice. In 1822 Joachim Steiner and Katerina née Spira’s son, Volf, was born there and in 1824 their daughter Terezie was born. Their daughter Dorota died there on 14.10.1824. Their son, Markus, 12 years old, died on 2.7.1832. Theirson Volf, 10 years old, died on 25.8.1832. On 29.4.1833 Jachym 's daughter, Katerina, died. In 1833 Jachym's son Samuel married Katerina, daughter of Isak Spira from Horazdovice. Rosalie Pollak, 74 years old, died on 24.8.1832 from "weakness and high age." Samuel son of Moyses Pollak, a feather salesman, married Rosalie Arnstein, daughter of Leopold from Vodnany and Barbora née Sicher from Tynec. On 29.6.1834 Emanuel, a 1 year-old child of Jachym Steiner, died from weakness. Volf, son of Isak Steiner (son of Volf and Judita Kastlova from Kynzvart ), was born the same year. In 1837 Regina, a daughter of Joachim Steiner and Lidmila, was born. The same year Terezie Steiner, an illegitimate daughter of Rebeka, daughter of Abraham, a familiant from Podhuri, Klatovy region, and Anna née Freyman was born. In 1839 Dorota, daughter of Joachim Steiner, a salesman in Janovice (son of Volf from Janovice and Judita) and Lidmila née Blochova (daughter of David Bloch, a salesman in Horazdovice and Eva née Hilsen from Nyrsko), was born there. House no. V in Janovice (formerly no. 37) By August 26, 1782 Jakub Nathan, son of Nosek Nathan, lived there with his son, Isak. The house, formerly number 37, which used to be populated by Christians, was purchased from Emanuel Beml. The house was situated near the Brethren church cemetery, and therefore it seems more probable that it and not house nr. 25 was originally the old Brethren school. House no. VI in Janovice, built around 1743, burned down in 1847 The date of origin is known from a recorded lawsuit (1782) between the town authorities and Salomon Nathan. The reason for the lawsuit was that the house was built by Salomon Nathan without permission and occupied by him since 1743. In the list of Janovice inhabitants from 1790, Jakob Nathan from no. VI is also included. On December 15, 1809 a contract was signed for the purchase of house no. VI in Janovice. - Loebl Bloch bought it from Klara Kahn and paid 936 gold coins for it. (Recorded in the Cadastral Register). Anna Bloch died there at the age of 11 on 1.1.1828 of pneumonia. On May 15, 1854 Simon Bloch was given confirmation that in 1847 he lost all his possessions in a fire at house no. VI. On August 3, 1859 Loebl Bloch, a salesman in Janovice VI, a widower, 74 years-old, died of "weakness and high age". House no. VII in Janovice (called Severyn's) On October 9, 1772, David Volf (later David Bloch), a Jew from Janovice, bought house no. VII from Mayer Abraham, a Jew from Nyrsko for 450 gold coins. The purchaser promised to take care of his mother, Serl, until her death. (from Cadastral Registry, Janovice). David Volf-Bloch and his wife Katerina had the following children : Moyses, born 1808, Aron, born 1809, Salomon, born 1809, Samuel, born 1811 (here the mother is noted as Rebeca ), and Sara, born 1813 (mother Rebeca). In 1787 David Volf asked authorities to exempt him from taxes. He was seriously ill and in debt as well as the father of 4 children. David Bloch died at the age of 73 on 8.3.1846(?) of convulsions. From 1826 to 1864 Leopold Weis, a circumciser, lived there. In 1837 Benedikt Adam Weisel, a salesman in Janovice (son of David from Bezdekobv and Barbora from Oujezd) married Rosi Blochova, daughter of Volf Bloch, a salesman and tenant of a house in Janovicem and Jetti born Gans). In 1857 Jan Treml, a day labourer in Janovice VII, son of Karel from Dubova married Barbora Tutschova, an illegitimate daughter of Katerina, daughter of Jiri Tutsch, a farmer from Petrovice. In 1874 Josef Vaclavovic , a miller 's assistant, son of Josef from Lhota, married Katerina daughter of Josef Polc, a locksmith from Janovice VII, and Eva. |
