This letter is from Albert Gruenthal. He is writing to his son, Hans. Hans is my grandfather. The letter is from a personal collection.

A full translation would be nice but we are mostly interested in names and relations and any information on their movements during German occupation.

On  Response
4/30/2024 2:48 PM Writer asks if it's really so important to maintain contact with Gretl's parents.

Etta was fired [or possibly evicted, same word in German] and spent the night at the writer's home when passing through town. She plans to spend a few months in Triest.

Grandfather is doing well.

Aunt Irma had more dizzy spells, apparently due to arteriosclerosis. She's doing better now.

Lina had an appendectomy and is recovering well.

Fritzi G.'s in-laws visited yesterday - the Fritzi who is already "over there".
