'Reb' is an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

Her father had a ‘double’ Hebrew name: Aryeh (which is Hebrew) and Layb (which is Yiddish); both words mean lion. SOME (certainly not all) men with either of these names have a secular name related to lion, such as Leo, Leonard, Leon, etc.

By the way: Some people might mistakenly read the name Aryeh as Ari, as that is what it looks like at first glance. However, there is an apostrophe at the end, representing a missing letter, Hay. This is sometimes done because otherwise the last two letters of the name would spell out one of the names of G-d.

The 26th of Tevet, 5697, began at sunset on January 8th, 1937, and ended at sunset on the 9th. The secular date on the stone is the 8th, which would indicate that she passed away between sunset and midnight of that date.
