The tradesman Hermann Krutsch, residing in Posen, Judenstrasse [Jews’ street] 30 [?], Jewish religion, known to him, appeared before the undersigned registrar today and reported that Bianka Krutsch, nee Bein, his wife, Jewish religion, residing in Posen with him, gave birth to a male child in Posen, in his residence, on the 29th of June of the year one thousand eight hundred ninety-seven at about two-thirty in the morning, and he was given the name Salomon /: Sally /:.

Hermann Krutsch

The Registrar

----------------------------------------------
Note the spelling of the child's name: Salomon.

"Sally", which to us is a girl's name, was a standard nickname for Salomon, and was pronounced ZAH-lee. By the way, the German name Salomon is pronounced Zalomon.
