I am curious about the middle initial H. Tzvi is Hebrew for deer. The Yiddish word for deer is Hersh/Hirsh, and many men with the name Tzvi have a corresponding secular name of Hirsh or an English similar-sounding name, such as Harry, Harold, etc.

Layb is the Yiddish word for lion. His father MAY have had a secular name related to lion, such as Leo, Leonard, etc. (or, possibly, any name beginning with L).
