• From downtown Washington, DC:
  Go west on Massachusetts Avenue NW until it ends at Goldsboro Road Turn right on Goldsboro Road. Proceed 1/4 mile to next traffic light. Turn left at light onto River Road. Continue approximately 5.6 miles to traffic light at Falls Road. Turn right. Go approximately 2 miles. Har Shalom is on your left, past a fire station.
   
• From Northern Virginia via Beltway (I-495):
  From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 39 - River Road West, towards Potomac. Continue approximately 3 miles to traffic light at Falls Road. Turn right. Go approximately 2 miles. Har Shalom is on your left, past a fire station.
   
• From Silver Spring via Beltway (I-495):
  From the Beltway, take Exit 35 - 270 North. Get off 270 at Montrose Road (Exit 4B - West) - past Seven Locks Road. Continue to end of Montrose Road. Turn left onto Falls Road. Har Shalom will be on your right, just after Glen Road, approximately 1.5 miles.
   
• From Gaithersburg via I-270 South:
  From the local lanes, take Exit 5 - Falls Road (Rt. 189) South toward Potomac. Har Shalom will be on your right, just after Glen Road, approx 2.5 miles.

• Take I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Virginia to the Little River Turnpike (Route 236), Exit 52a. Head west, toward Fairfax, 1-1/2 miles to the traffic signal at Guinea Road. Turn right and proceed to the JCC parking lot ahead.
   

• Take I-95 north toward Baltimore. Exit before the Fort McHenry Tunnel at Russell Street. Follow Russell Street as it twists and turns until you reach Pratt Street. Take a right on Pratt Street and continue east to Central Avenue. Turn left on Central Avenue and go one block north to Lombard Street. Turn left on Lombard and go one block to Lloyd Street. Turn right on Lloyd Street. The Museum will be on your right. Park on street.
   

The library is on G Street, between 9th and 10th streets.

Metro: Take train to Metro Center or Gallery Place/Chinatown

• From Rockville/Bethesda:
  Take I-495 south/west, passing Tysons Corner, etc. Take the first exit (#52A) to Rt. 236 West, Little River Turnpike. Go about 2 miles, passing the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia on the right at Guinea Rd. Go two streets further to Glenbrook Rd (past a large blue sign) and turn right. Approximately 1/2 mile on Glenbrook Rd, and after a Dead-end Street sign, turn left at a low stone wall with the Olam Tikvah sign in Hebrew. The parking lot is past the building.
   
• From Inner Loop of I-495:
  Take I-495 north/east. Take Exit #52B to Rt 236 West, Little River Turnpike. Go about 2 miles, passing the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia on the right at Guinea Rd. Go two streets further to Glenbrook Rd (past a large blue sign) and turn right. Approximately 1/2 mile on Glenbrook Rd, and after a Dead-end Street sign, turn left at a low stone wall with the Olam Tikvah sign in Hebrew. The parking lot is past the building.

  From MD 355 turn west onto Old Georgetown Road. Make a right onto Democracy Blvd. and Continue west past Montgomery Mall. Turn right onto Falls Road (MD 189). The Potomac Community Center will be on your right, after the Bells Mill Rd traffic light.
   
• From Washington, DC:
  Massachusetts Avenue to Goldsboro Road. Make a right. At the intersection with River Road, make a left and continue on River to I 495 North. Get into left lanes towards I-270. Exit at Democracy Blvd. Continue west past Montgomery Mall. Turn right onto Falls Road (MD 189). The Potomac Community Center will be on your right, after the Bells Mill Rd traffic light.
   
• From Baltimore:
  South on I 695 South to I-95. At exit 27, go west on I-495 (Capital Beltway). At exit 35, go north on I-270 (towards Fredrick). At exit 4 take ramp to Montrose Rd – WEST. Go 2.3 miles and turn left on Falls Road. (MD 189). Drive 1.4 miles. The Potomac Community Center will be on your left.
   
• From Virginia:
  Go North East on I-495 (Capital Beltway). Enter Maryland and follow signs to I-270 North. Exit at Democracy Blvd. Continue west past Montgomery Mall. Turn right on Falls Road (MD 189). The Potomac Community Center will be on your right, after the Bells Mill Rd traffic light.
   

From the South & East:

• Take I-495 (Washington Beltway) to I-270 North toward Frederick.
• Take Exit 6B – Route 28 West toward Darnestown & move into the left lane.
• At the 4th traffic light, turn left onto Darnestown Road.
• Continue past 4 more traffic lights and at the 5th, turn left onto Travilah Road.
• Temple Beth Ami is the second driveway on the right, 14330 Travilah Road.

From the North:

• Take I-270 South toward Washington.
• Take Exit 8 - Shady Grove Road and at the end of the exit ramp, turn right at the traffic light onto Shady Grove Road.
• Continue to the 4th traffic light and turn right onto Darnestown Road.
• Turn left at the 3d traffic light onto Travilah Road.
• Temple Beth Ami is the second driveway on the right, 14330 Travilah Road.

• Metro: Smithsonian (Blue, Orange lines)
  Public transportation is strongly advised as public parking is very limited. The Metro stop is Smithsonian (orange/blue lines), one block from the Museum. The Metro stations and the route to the Museum via subway are accessible to wheelchair users. Follow subway directions to the Museum at Independence Ave. and 14th St.
