Please make sure to type your email address correctly.  Your registration cannot be processed without a valid email address.  After you submit this form, a confirmation message will be sent to the e-mail address you have entered below.  To complete the registration process, you will need to click on the link in the email message and login to JewishGen.

JewishGen respects the privacy of all those who submit their data for the purposes of personal genealogical research.  We do our utmost to insure that no participants receive unwanted solicitations.  However, because this is a service provided by JewishGen we reserve the right to contact registrants from time to time regarding JewishGen programs and projects.  We also will send e-mail requesting the voluntary financial support from registrants using our services.

If you enter data into the JewishGen Family Finder (JGFF), your contact information will be displayed in the JGFF.  We offer the following display options to ensure the greatest degree of privacy without compromising the intent of the database.  Select any one of these display options for address information.

All email contact from other researchers will be via a protected e-mail contact system.

Sharing Options:

JewishGen has tools for your personal research only, and in the best interests of enhancing that research JewishGen proposes to share your information with the organizations with which we partner and host.  For this reason that option is the default.  If you do not wish your information shared, you are free to select the second option.


Should you be solicited by any person or organization offering private research or information for a fee please advise JGabuse@jewishgen.org immediately and we will do our best to correct the situation.

Important Note:

JewishGen's free genealogy website features thousands of databases, research tools, and other resources to help those with Jewish ancestry research and find family members.  Because JewishGen offers our services at no charge to the community, we rely on the generous support of our users.  By registering for our website, you agree to allow us to send you emails requesting funding assistance and/or notifying you of new records, features, etc.  In addition, you acknowledge that JewishGen will utilize the services of outside email partners to deliver these emails.
