Translated by Shimon Joffe An estate in the Alytus district, close to Simnas. The estate covered 1500 hectares (approximately 15,000 dunams) and was owned by a Jew named Haim Freid and his son Moshe. In 1930, as a consequence of the agrarian reform, the estate was left with only150 hectares. (approximately 1500 dunams). In 1941, the family was exiled to Siberia by the Soviet authorities.
