Translated by Shaul Yannai A county town in the Sakiai district, about 10 km southwest of Vilkija. In 1923, 24 Jews lived among the town's 70 residents. In June, 1941, when Germany conquered Lithuania, their fate came ended in the same way as the other Jews in the surrounding areas. In the autumn of that year, they were all murdered by Lithuanians, who served in the ranks of the German occupying forces.
