Translated by Shaul Yannai A village in the Taurage district, 8 km west of Pajuris. In 1897, the town had 102 residents. In 1923 it had 191 residents. Before WWI, there was a small Jewish settlement in Teneniai. 2 Jewish families lived in the village during the period of Independent Lithuania. In June, 1941, when Germany conquered Lithuania, the fate of the Jews of Teneniai was the same as the fate of the Jews in the surrounding areas.
