My Grandmother's House was Destroyed (cont.)

I was so glad to meet Feigale and her family in Israel. We're in constant contact and Feigale helps me a lot.

Today, May 8, 1985, I met Nechamka Silver, the daughter of Shmuel-Itzik Slep, who came on a visit to Israel from Los Angeles, with her family, and I was able to tell her about my last meetings with members of her family. When I was with her, I recalled memories of bygone days.

Lark Gould: After my first visit to Israel I knew that it would not take long and a second visit would take place, but this time together with my grandmother. She was so excited to hear the voice of her cousin Yosef, while speaking on the telephone ...

Nechama-Anna Silver (Slep): My impressions of my visit to Israel will remain in my memory till my dying day. I was especially happy to meet the members of my family. I only knew my cousin Yosef (Yavnai-Slep) from the days of my childhood in Dusiat and my youth in Dvinsk. Only seventy years have gone by since then…
