For 35 years he lived in Drohiczyn, and served the Jewish community in the capacity of "shoychet" [ritual slaughterer] and prayer leader. Beloved by everyone. His good heart and noblemindness, as was his intelligence were well known. All those that knew him will remember his free spirit and his superior virtues.
