Here are a few excerpts from two of the Des es Videke periodicals, where the reader could see the objectives of the association and the accomplished results.

The articles from the two periodicals shown here, the reports, as well as the excerpts provide the most important proof of the meaning of unified strength that served the community.

The formation of the Des and Its Surrounding Region's Landsmannschaft was not in vain. During the eight years it functioned, it realized the greater part of its set out objectives, and with this Book of Remembrance, it also provided an example that could be followed by the Hungarian – Jewish community, in how to save the historical past for the newer generations.

In 1969, on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary held at the Great Synagogue of Haifa, the Landsmannschaft distributed the draft of the Book of Remembrance. The Hungarian language Memorial Services of Szekely Sandor, and Singer Jozsef's service in Hebrew recognized the historical significance of the Jewry that lived in Des and its surrounding region, as well as their destruction. They expressed their gratitude to the initiator and editor of the book for the long years of altruistic and humanitarian work he exerted to publish the book, which brought him unquestionable credit from the descendants of Des and its surrounding region living in Israel and throughout the world.

In 1969, on Mount Zion's Memorial Hall in Jerusalem, descendents from Magyarlapos and its surrounding area living in Israel unveiled a Yizkor Memorial Plaque on the second day of the Sukkoth Festival within the framework of a commemorative service to honor their murdered Martyrs.

The five Nemes brothers of Magyarlapos, who miraculously returned from deportation with their father, a unique case in the County.
The father, Nemes Izsak died in 1955, at the age of 68 and rests in the cemetery of Tivona.
His sons, Geza, Ocsi, Sanyi, Beri, and Jaszi, all live in Tivona, respectively in Nazareth.
