| The Jewish compound in Zabrze survived the war relatively intact. The compound consisted of an old age home, school house and offices. |

| The Polish Jewish Association of religious communities headed by Rabbi Kahane received the building that was converted to an orphanage. The upper floor became the old age home. |

| Yeshayahu Drucker spent a great deal of time in Zabrze and took many pictures of the children and the home. He assembled them into an album when he came to Israel. The album of pictures was donated to the Museum of the Lochamei Hagataot. |
