May God Remember

The pure souls, thousands of Jews, who were annihilated by cruel and profane enemies, the scum of the earth. It was a foreign world of desecration–

The refugees from the death lands who found a haven in foreign places, always yearning for their resurrected homeland. Their souls ascended from foreign lands–

The illegal immigrants–refugees, who came on rickety boats, suffering hunger and thirst. They waded through strong currents to reach safe shores. They were swept into the sea or were locked out of their homeland.

The builders and defenders of our country, men and women, elderly and young, who fell on the battlefield, on the roads and in towns, at work and in school. Their death paved the way for the living–

All those who dreamed and fought and were fortunate to reach their homeland, but still left us too early in turbulent times–

May God remember them for good and may their souls be bound among the living.

We will remember them reverently in our hearts, all our lives. We will speak of their deeds, to our descendants, to all generations.

Remembrance Scroll

We, hereby commemorate the names of our dear friends and relatives who were massacred during the Holocaust. May this scroll serve as an eternal memorial on Mount Zion and may this gravestone be a reminder of all those who were murdered and not buried in a Jewish grave.

Memorial Day was chosen as 19 Elul. On this day we will reunite with all those who are no longer so they will not be forgotten

May their souls be bound up in the bond of everlasting life
