Zelig: We lived in the middle house. Our neighbors, the family Fein Levik and Surl, lived on the right. On the left was the house of the miller, Reb Elya Yoffe, which once served as the Hebrew school. The two Yoffe families are related, but I don't know how.
My father told me he purchased the house (which was not yet finished) from Koppel (Beinart) who immigrated to South Africa.

Zelig: The Lithuanian (right) told me that through the window of his home he saw how the yeshiva bochers were being abused and humiliated. I think that they came to Dusetos from Lublin he said.
He told me that the most horrible scene was revealed before his eyes in the field of slaughter when he saw the dress of his Jewish wife, Baile Gordon (from Ushpol). Then I understood that she was murdered he said.
