The family ties thanks to the great-grandmothers…

Natan Pogrund married Beile Silberstein (the daughter of Avraham-Moshe, the son of Michl and Dobra Berman).

Moshe Orlin married Teibl Berman (the daughter of Abba, Dobra's brother).

Sonia Orlin, Moshe's sister, married Yona Berman, Teibl's brother.

Who were the great grandmothers?

Two sisters:

Raska – the wife of Gershon Berman

and Freidke – the wife of Kehoth Chatzkel.

They had children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who filled the shtetl with the family names: Chatzkel, Orlin, Slep, Charit, Levitt, Kagan, Barron and Aires. The members of the Horwitz and Yosman families are also related to this branch.

And so few remained.
