R' Shlomo, R' Yehoshua, and R' Yaakov Tzigler were known as scholars and God-fearing men, ardent Hasidim, and lovers of good ways and charity.
R' Yehoshua זל was especially exceptional in this regard when it came to the celebration of the Purim festival, and was a wonder that served as a model to the entire area.
Poor people streamed into the town from the entire area to take part in the Purim feasts of R' Yehoshua Tzigler, and after they had eaten and drunk to the point of insensibility, every one of them received a generous gift of charity as well.
The Tzigler family was one of the most respected families in our area.
