Akta 34 is an 1890 birth record from Zaręby Kościelne, Łomza, Poland for someone who might be my great-grandfather’s second-cousin. I would be grateful if someone could translate it in full (or at least everything that isn’t the standard wording of a birth record).

Names that I would expect to see in the text are:
- the child: Dyna ZAREMBER;
- her father: Herszko ZAREMBER, son of Juśk & Zelda?

Thanks so much! Hopefully the handwriting isn’t too hard to read.

10/10/2026 11:15 AM №34.

No. 34. Town of Zaręby Kościelne.
Commune of Zaręby Kościelne. Drawn up in the town of Zaręby Kościelne on May 14/26, 1890, at 2:00 PM.
Appeared Herszko Ioskovich Zarember, a small-goods merchant, aged 36, a permanent resident of the town of Zaręby Kościelne; in the presence of witnesses Mortka Wich, aged 40, and Jankiel Zilberberg, a shoemaker, aged 40, they presented to us a female infant, declaring that she was
born in this town on May 2, 1886, at 3:00 PM, to his lawful wife Shendlya, née Dynda, aged 36. The infant was given the name Dana.
The reason for the late registration of the infant was the parents' delay. This record was read to the declarant and signed by us and the father; the witnesses are illiterate.
[Registrar of] Civil Status Records: Uszczynski.
P.S. On the two pages beneath the records, there is a signature: Herszko Zarember. The official likely asked him to sign, since the witnesses in all these cases are illiterate.
