(Page 7 in military booklet of Гершъ Зозовскій - booklet in personal collection)

GOAL: a translation of the HANDWRITTEN text on page 7 (or as much of it as is legible). I’m most interested in the longer word written in the 3rd line, that appears to begin with a “D”.

Further Context:
- Gersh[ko] was a private (Рябовой) in Alexander III’s infantry. I believe he & his family was from Lyubar, in modern Ukraine.
- I know almost nothing about his time serving in the Army; which is why I’d like as complete of a translation as possible, please.
- I know he ultimately fled the empire with his family before he was to be re-conscripted in 1902 (that’s the story told in our family, at least); and he was living in NYC by the year 1900 — so I’m trying to learn as much as possible about his life in the decades prior to arriving in the US.

Thank you very much for any help!!
