(Pages 2-3 in military booklet of Гершъ Зозовскій - booklet in personal
GOAL: translation of the HANDWRITTEN text on pages 2 & 3 (or as much of it as is legible) — I’m MOST interested in what’s written in sections (4.) and (12.)
Further context:
- Gersh was a private in Alexander III’s infantry. I believe he & his family was from Lyubar, in modern Ukraine.
- I know almost nothing about his time serving in the Imperial Army; which is why I’d ultimately like as complete of a translation as possible, please.
- I know he ultimately fled the empire with his family before he was to be re-conscripted in 1902; and he was living in NYC by the year 1900 — so I’m trying to learn as much as possible about his life in the decades prior to arriving in the US.
Thank you very much for any help!!
