- At www.jewishgen.org you should register as a member, login and then click on Research and click on Discussion Groups in the drop-down menu to display the groups. More than thirty discussion groups are listed, each with a brief description of its area of genealogical interest. Scroll down to locate the SA-SIG discussion group. Subscription is free of charge.
Subscriptions may be modified to suit your preferences:
- DIGEST - Receive daily digest with all the messages of the day
- INDEX - Receive daily index of the subject lines of the messages of the day
- MAIL - Receive mail as it is contributed
- NOMAIL - Receive no mail -- Temporarily stop the mail
- Newsgroup: soc.genealogy.jewish
- This group is active with ten or more postings each day covering a wide range
of relevent genealogical topics. Postings to the group are moderated so that
off-topic and offensive items should not reach your screen.
Access is available through your e-mail reader, e.g. Windows Live Mail. Availability via Apple Mail is not known. You may need to ask your internet service provider (ISP) to make newsgroups available to you.
