In the reports on synagogue membership in the United Kingdom, published by the Board of Deputies of British Jews,^(xviii) it states that the figures provided for the Gateshead Hebrew Congregation, include the Kolel Synagogue.

The Kolel, under the name The Institute of Higher Rabbinical Studies (with working names, Gateshead Kolel and The Institute of Higher Rabbinical Studies Gateshead Kolel), is a registered charity, number 313338 (standard registration), registered on 7 January 1965.^(xix)

Worship Registration:

The Kolel Synagogue, with one room on basement and one room on ground floor, ar 23 Claremont Place, Gateshead, is registered as a Place of Worship - Worship Register Number 64875 - under the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855.^(xx)
