First anniversary celebration of the congregation was held recently at the
Girls’ High School. Rev. J. Indech said that the reason for the success was the
keenness shown by children and adults.
The chairman, Mr J. L. Collier, paid tribute to the Hon. Sec. Mr. H. Carr and
presented him with a copy of the ’Soncino’ Hagadah.

Rabbi Dr. S. M. Lehrman recently examined the Hebrew classes held at Newbury and
Thatcham. Reported satisfactory progress. He congratulated Rev. S.S. Ginsburg on
the results of his work in the classes.
