Mr. S. Jaffe of Great Grimsby, has, after reading the service at Beaufort College on Saturday last, been unanimously elected minister of the
St. Leonards Hastings congregation, subject to the Delegate Chief Rabbi's approval.

The services at Beaufort College, St. Leonards, attracted a large congregation, every available seat being filled.
The Shachrith was impressively read by Marcus N. Adler, M.A., and the sad recollections it awakened in the mind of the reader were fully patent to the worshippers.
The Musaph was intoned by the local minister, the Rev. S. Jaffe. Mr. S. J. Heilbron, Head-master of the Bayswater
Jewish Schools, acted as Baal Koreh. On the first day, Mr. Philip Bender of St. John's College, Cambridge, delivered a sermon on Reverence.
