The Ark, c. 1960
A photograph taken c. 1960, at the time of the fitting of new
tongue and groove panelling to replace woodwork that had become
rotten, as had the floor. In the niche to the right of the Ark is a
plaque presented by the members of the US Armed Forces in gratitude
for the welcome received during the war years. |
