Dues

At this time the German Jewish SIG does not have a dues structure.  Members are asked to make donations, both to JewishGen and to the German Jewish SIG. 

Donations

In order to carry out the most basic functions of the SIG -- the acquisition, translation, and entry of data into our internet database -- there are many technical, organizational, and administrative expenses.  Even in an internet world, it costs money to communicate internationally, to photocopy, to scan, and store records, and to translate documents.  We would appreciate a contribution of at least $100 from those who use our service and can afford it, but we would be pleased with whatever you can provide as an indication of your support for our activities.  Please contribute, either by:

• check payable to JewishGen/German Jewish SIG and mailing it to JewishGen, Inc., Edmond J. Safra Plaza, 36 Battery Place, New York, NY  10280; or

• After JewishGen login:  select GerSIG Speakers Bureau

JewishGen, Inc. is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to JewishGen are tax-deductible in the US according to law for both designated (to German Jewish SIG) and undesignated donations.
