BACKGROUND
This collection comprises a list of the Jewish residents of Neuwied that were deported to concentration camps and death camps during World War II. Neuwied is a town in the north of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, capital of the District of Neuwied. This list includes Jews from Anhausen, Engers, Fahr, Geistingen b. Hennef/Sieg, Gladbach/Engers, Gladbach, Heimbach, Irlich, Neuwied, Niederbieber, Oberbieber, Rockenfeld, Rodenbach and Wollendorf.
DATABASE
This database includes 183 Jews from the Neuwied region were deported during World War II to Auschwitz, Bendorf-Sayn, Buchenwald, Izbica/Polen, Lodz, Majdanek, Minsk, Piaski/Polen, Riga, Sobibor, Stutthof, Theresienstadt, Trawniki/Polen
