By Michael L. Hoffman
Background
Michael L. Hoffman, Ph.D., currently residing in Sofia, Bulgaria
has graciously made his article about the Jewish Bulgarian Partisans
available to all. In addition to being of general historical interest,
it is also of genealogical interest as it includes a list of 272 Jewish
Bulgarian Partisans. There is also a large bibliography on the Bulgarian
resistance with both English and annotated Bulgarian sources.
The entire article can be downloaded by clicking
here.

potential.
In addition, we express our grateful appreciation to
Dr. Jeff Malka for his monumental ongoing effort to collect
and make accessible Sephardic genealogical information, and for his
generosity in contributing his extraordinarily valuable collection to
JewishGen.
Finally, we thank Mike Kalt, HTML Volunteer Coordinator,
for placing this description online, and Nolan Altman, Director of
Special Projects and Coordinator of the Holocuast Database, for his continued
