Cemetery Description: |
Established in 1959, Raleigh Memorial Park (RMP) sits atop one of the highest points in the city. The cemetery spans 50 acres. It is the only cemetery in North Carolina designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
On October 29, 2023 the Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery reached an agreement with Raleigh Memorial Park for a new burial ground that was dedicated and consecrated for Jewish burials. This area is called Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery at Raleigh Memorial Park. There are 596 plots designated in the Hebrew Section.
