This was donated by the Jüdische Gemeinde Bern (JGB). Their address is Kapellenstrasse 2, 3011-Bern, Switzerland and the Community website is at www.jgb.ch. This list includes the Swiss last names. In Switzerland up until recently when people married the husband and wife assumed hyphenated names. For example if Simon BLOCH married Amalie WEIL their new names would be Simon BLOCH-WEIL and Amalie BLOCH-WEIL. The wife's maiden name would be the last.
