Cemetery Description: |
Nowy Wiśnicz Cemetery, Nowy Wiśnicz, Poland. 63 burials total.
The cemetery is located out of town on what appears to be a major road. It is surrounded by a fence and access is on a side track through a small gate. It is on a somewhat steep hill, which seems to have been partly truncated, perhaps when the road was widened or for removal of soil. Some graves are located on the edge of a very steep hollowed out part of the hill, which is obviously not natural. Judging by the surrounding topography and the positioning of other graves on the hill next to the road, some graves were destroyed in that precinct of the cemetery. Parts of the cemetery seem barren of graves, but some few are found in those precincts. It is not certain whether those areas remained open or whether gravestones were removed from there. There is no evidence of any caretaking and the whole area is overgrown with trees and weeds.
