The old Cochem Jewish cemetery is said to be located opposite the castle on an eastern slope of the hill, near the Schulsentrum, and the gravestones can only be seen partially where the tops lay above ground level, and only in late autumn. There is apparently no enclosure around the old burial grounds. Information gathered by Klaus H.S. Schulte in the spring of 1986.
